About Best of Hokkaido Biei Scenic Cycling (Summer Dep)
An organised and fully guided road cycling trip, comes with Support Vehicle with A SEAT FOR EVERYONE AT ANYTIME, following 100% behind the group. Accommodation is a balanced mix of usual hotels and Japanese-style ryokans for the unique cultural experience. Trip is meticulously planned and crafted with years of experience in cycling tours. Sufficient time has been included for photos stops, lunch break, and morning & afternoon rest points.

Itinerary Overview:

Day01 Arrival to Sapporo / Transfer to Mt Tomamu
Pick up from the airport and transfer (with your bikes) to Tomamu. Rest and prepare for next day. Group dinner included with briefing next day ride.
Day02 Tomamu / Furano (cycle 70km)
We cycle mostly on countryside roads to arrive at Furano. Visit cheese and wine factory, as well as the popular farm Tomita for lavender. Taste and try the lavender/melon icecream and desserts/puffs
Day03 Furano / Shirogane / Biei (cycle 40km)
Continue of pleasant ride towards Biei for the famous Shirogane blue pond, Shirahige waterfalls, birch trees scenic lane.
Day04 Biei / Mt Daisetsuzan / Asahidake (cycle 58km)
We start our ascent slowly as we leave Biei and head towards Mt Daizetsuzan National Park, home to the highest peak of Hokkaido, Asahidake at 2291m. Enjoy a night stay up in the mountains in good hotels with sumptuous dinner and breakfast provided.
Day05 Asahidake / Asahikawa (cycle 48km)
Morning cable car ride up to about 1500m. You can either do a leisure hike on designated footpaths to see geysers and lakes (those with good fitness can attempt the 3-4hrs hike up to the summit of Asahidake). After lunch, descent down to arrive at Asahikawa. End of cycling.
Day06 Asahikawa / transfer back to Sapporo
Tour of the sake factory or Asahikawa zoo. Free and easy until our transfer by vehicle back to Sapporo.
Day07 Departure
