Marma Therapy Course with Dr. Darmesh

✓ Marma therapy training can help in providing the healthcare professionals as a great tool to serve their patients and clients with great result in conjunction to their therapeutic modalities.
The course has also high weight age of proper manipulation of spine and joint which can be done for all age group and even with chronic secondary disease we can do manipulation and stimulation to give maximum benefits.
Marma therapy course also helps delegates in developing adequate
knowledge in diagnosis and proper evaluation of various conditions and how to safely treat them.
✓ Delegates will develop skills to not only give treatment but also restoring their functional abilities and restricted movements.
✓ Delegates will be having enough practical and laboratory sessions so as to get hands on Marma therapy training and guidelines of safe handling of patients and avoid any adverse effects.
Module 1
Day 1
Marma therapy is a two day course and has a total credit or CEU’s of 20 HRS which consists of 4 HRS Pre Reading and 16 HRS of practical lab session.
✓ Physical Therapist, Sports therapist, Massage therapist, Acupuncturist, Chiropractisioners, osteopaths, Medical Professional people can attend this course.
✓ The Course will consist of the following:

What is Marma Therapy?
Introduction
History
Different Methods of Sports therapies and manipulation
Introduction to pain and misalignment,
How does it act?
(1) Clinical definition of joint blockage.
(2) Difference between radicular and pseudoradicular pain
(3) Reflex phenomenon.
(4) Biomechanical kinetic chains.
(5) Tissue Tension Sense.
(6) Different therapeutic strokes (Practical)
(7) Basic manipulation techniques- Holding/Base/Grip/Pressure (practical)
(8) Contact points of therapist hands
➢ 12 noon to 1pm
Lunch
➢ 1 pm to 3 pm
(1) Palpation of muscles, joints, ligament, blood vessels.
(2) Posture of giver and receiver
(3) Advanced Manipulation technique- Traction/ manipulation/opposition
stabilization/ Therapeutic bandaging.
(4) Palpation of Spine (Cervical/ Thoracic/ Lumbar / Sacral /Coccyx.
(5) Safety Pin Cycle.
(6) Assessment of leg length. 3 techniques (prone / Supine / thread
measurement).

Marma therapy approach to the following Marma manipulation of
muscles, Nerves, tendons and joints its functional areas of the neck and shoulder will be explained in detail with the practical sessions:
(a) Cranio -Vertebral instability test (Transverse Ligament/ Anterior shear test / Alar Ligament.)
(b) Atlas and Axis vertebra correction
(c) Rotational technique of C3 to C6
(d) Swing technique C1to C7
(e) Lateral and rotation method of C2 correction.
(f) Marma point of neck and Shoulder.
Day 2
➢ 9 am to 12noon
Marma therapy approach of manipulation of Marma points in the following muscle bands and tendons & its functional areas of the face, upper limb & thorax will be explained in detail with the practical sessions:
• Pectoralis major and minor
• Sternocledomastoid
• Rhomboid major and minor
• Semi Spinalis Capitis.
• Upper Trapezius.
• Frontalis.
• Biceps
• Triceps
• Supra spinatous.
• Infra spinatous.
• Brachio radialis.
• ECRB
• Extensor Pollicis longus.
With Marma point manipulation
• Manipulation of Shoulder joint ( fixing Head of the humerus 5 techniques
➢ 12pm to 1pm
Lunch
➢ 1pm to 2pm
• Manipulation of scapula with Marma points
• Manipulation of clavicle-(sternoclavicular (SC) joint and acromioclavicular joint) and Sternum with Marma points
• Manipulation of Elbow and Marma points.
• Manipulation of wrist and phalangeal joint and Marma points
➢ 2pm to 4pm
The manipulation of the following Conditions or deformities & its functional points as well as symptomatic points will be explained in detail with the practical sessions:
▪ Manipulation of TMJ and Maxilla with Marma point.
▪ Rotator cuff injuries with Marma point
▪ AC joint separation with Marma point
▪ Carpal tunnel syndrome with Marma point
▪ Cervical radicuopathy with Marma point
▪ Injuries to the triangular fibro cartilage.
