Join Gemma Burditt for a stop-frame animation workshop, inspired by much-loved characters from ‘Charlie and Lola’ or ‘Ruby Redfort’ created by children’s author Lauren Child, where you can design and create your own moving picture.
Families will be introduced to storyboarding techniques and make character cut-out puppets to animate for themselves, guided by Gemma’s expertise.
Gemma Burditt is an animation director living and working in London. Her recent works include an animated e-book on the adventures of Richard Spruce, which is currently being shown as part of the Lindsay Sekulowicz: Plantae Amazonicae exhibition at Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew and an award-winning short Through the Hawthorn.
Suitable for ages 5+. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All materials provided.
