The Gosport 5k Summer Series offers a fast, out and back promenade run using an accurately measured 5k course, ideal for beginners and experienced runners alike.
This is the fourth race in the five race series. You can enter each race individually or save money and buy a three, four or five race season ticket.
Medals for all finishers plus prizes for race winners and winners of vet categories 1 to 7, plus a special series prize for the 1st male and female. Series points are based on your best four results.
There will be a Children's 1k sprint at each race at 7.15pm..

The Course
The Gosport 5k will start from a point close to the Bayside Cabin Café and cover an out and back route along the promenade, onto a country path around Fort Gilkicker before returning to the start. A very short section of the route is on a shingle pathway, but this is only a few metres.

First Aid
St John Ambulance will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.

There is plenty of car parking available along the sea front, but please pay attention to any parking restrictions and remember to pay the appropriate rate where applicable.
The closest railway station is Portsmouth Harbour and the promenade is served by local buses.

Please enclose a large stamped addressed envelope. Please make cheques payable to 'Nice Work'. Postal entry closes four days before race day, but entries can be accepted on the day, subject to availability.
