We are very excited to welcome back Hang Massive, for an exclusive London 2018 date, as they visit us during their global tour. Performing a mixture of songs from the album Distant Light as well as a selection of earlier works from their live albums. With many successful live events already under their belt and with tours planned in Europe, Russia, India, Australia, New Zealand and beyond, Hang Massive are building on their already well established reputation as producers of great records and are now gaining recognition worldwide as an incredible live act!
In December of 2011 Hang Massive released their first online video and music release ? Once Again?. That video spread virally and since then has been seen more than 40 million times online and viewed in countries all around the world. That video introduced millions of people to the Hang, an amazing new instrument made in Switzerland since the year 2001. That success was the basis for a global and dedicated fan base excited to hear more offerings from this unique musical project.
The following years saw Hang Massive release a range of records with a variety of flavours and styles, each one demonstrating their various musical influences and showcasing new ways in which to use the hang in recorded music.
The Hang is a musical instrument in the idiophone class created in Switzerland. The instrument is constructed of two half-shells of deep drawn, nitride steel sheets glued together at the rim, leaving the inside hollow and creating a distinct ?UFO shape?. Playing the Hang created a wonderful steel pan-esque sound, which creates a unique sonic experience.
