Located thousands of miles away, the Loess Plateau possesses an indescribable charm. The high-spirited and sostenuto nature of Shaanbei folk music reflects its rich, rustic sentiments and simplistic lifestyle. 2018-19’s season closing will feature Eternal Blooming of the Red Flowers, written by acclaimed Chinese woman composer Wang Danhong. China’s celebrated banhu master Shen Cheng, young suona virtuoso Wang Zhanzhan, Shaanbei’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Successor for Storytelling Gao Yongyuan, folk singer Su Wen and folk artistes from the Mizhi County will deliver an exhilarating experience that promises to tug at your heartstrings.

狮城陕北，乐连一线！千里之外的黄土高原，有一种说不出的魅力。陕北民歌高亢激昂，绵延悠长，反映人民质朴的生活，具有浓厚的乡土情怀。2018-19的乐季闭幕音乐会将强势呈献 “永远的山丹丹”，携手中国板胡大师沈诚、唢呐演奏家王展展，以及陕北说书非物质文化遗产传承人高永原、民歌手苏文与来自米脂县多位民间艺人，一同谱出这套由中国著名女作曲家王丹红创作的雄伟乐章。
