It's astounding that this small area is home to many of London's most iconic structures, milestones in the history of the city and testaments to the might and majesty of British royalty, military and democracy. This is our Westminster Walking Tour.

Join Free Tours by Foot as we travel through 1000 years of British history and introduce you to characters who have governed over this island and ruled over all of Britannia. England, Great Britain, United Kingdom - we'll explain the difference and see the sites that govern them through peace and war. Crack your best jokes to the Queen's guards, take a photo of "Big Ben" and then learn why you aren't actually taking a photo of Big Ben. Wave to the Queen and who knows, maybe she'll wave back!

**The Changing of the Guard takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays in the Spring/Summer season. The schedule is always subject to change, so it's impossible for us to guarantee that a scheduled changing actually takes place. Where: Tour begins from outside Green Park Station. Take the exit toward Green Park/Buckingham Palace and meet your guide next the Diana Huntress Fountain and refreshment stand [Not to be confused with the Diana Memorial Fountain in Kensington Gardens].

Q: CAN YOU GIVE ME DIRECTIONS TO THE TOUR STARTING POINT?
A: This is difficult to do, as guests will be coming from many different directions. Please use our Google map for directions to the tour. The closest Underground Station is Green Park. If you are coming through this station, take the exit toward Green Park/Buckingham Palace and meet your guide next the Diana Fountain in Green Park and refreshment stand [NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE DIANA MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN IN HYDE PARK]. Be sure to set your arrival time to 9:50.

Q: HOW WILL I KNOW WHO MY TOUR GUIDE IS?
A: Expect an email from your tour guide by 19:00 the evening before tour with his or her contact details and photo. Your tour guide will be holding a Free Tours by Foot logo. Your tour guide will be holding the Free Tours by Foot logo.
Q: WHAT IF I AM LATE, HOW CAN I MEET THE TOUR GUIDE?
A: Please don't be late. Be sure to set your arrival time to 9:50. However, if you are late, you can meet the group at the Canada Gate/Queen Victoria Memorial (map) outside Buckingham Palace. The group will be there until approximately 10:15. If you are late, be sure to send a text (sms) message to your tour guide to let him or her know to be on the lookout for you.

A: Another good question. People sometimes ask why we offer a tour for no upfront costs that our competitors offer for £12/person. Q: WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR EDIT MY BOOKING?
A: Please reply by email to this booking invoice directly to let us know that you need to cancel or edit. Be fair to others and give us at least 24 hours notice if possible, so that we have time to offer your spots to others. Failure to give proper notice may result in the placing of future tours to stand-by status.
