About:
Dronagiri, 3,658m (12,000ft) – is one of those little and ancient villages with a mere population of 70-80 people and just one satellite phone. Far away from the digital world and its advances, this village is very close to mother nature. Dronagiri is the only peak which has lent its name to a village in the vicinity or in India for a matter of fact. Dronagiri also happens to be the same mountain that Lord Hanuman lifted to save Lord Laxman in the Indian mythology, Ramayana. Interesting facts about the mountain, do not end here. A popular belief among the locals in Dronagiri is that Lord Hanuman, while taking the Sanjeevani mountain with him, accidentally broke the arm of the local deity there. This is the reason why Lord Hanuman is not worshipped in Dronagiri village.

Highlights of the Trek Plan:

4) Trek to Nandi Kund and Bhagini Glacier
5) Travel via holy confluences on River Ganga (Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnprayag, Nandprayag).
Detailed Itinerary:
- DAY 0: Depart from Bangalore at night. Reach Delhi.
- DAY 1: Depart from Delhi to Dehradun in Train, Reach around noon. (Sightseeing and relax at Dehradun).
- DAY 2: Arrive at Joshimath, stay at Auli.
- DAY 3: Acclimatization trek to Gorsan Bugyal.
- DAY 4: Travel from Joshimath to Jumma around 45km. Then 3km trek to Ruing village. Further trek 8km from Ruing village to Dronagiri village base camp.
- DAY 5: Trek to Nandi Kund.
- DAY 6: Trek to Bhagini Glacier.
- DAY 7: Descend to Jumma and then travel back to Joshimath.
(Optional -Visit Badrinath Temple and Mana Village at extra cost) Stay at Joshimath.
- DAY 8: Departure from Joshimath early in the morning to Dehradun. Take late night train to Delhi.
- DAY 9: Departure from Delhi. (Optional Delhi sightseeing at extra cost)
What's included:
- Travel from Dehradun to Dehradun in private vehicle.
- Accommodation at Dehradun- 1 night, Auli - 2 nights, Dronagiri - 3 nights, Joshimath - 1 night.
- Guide charges, permits and entry fees.
- Standard vegetarian food for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner (only at Dronagiri).
