About Uttarakhand Cycling Expedition June 2018

Pedal your way across the Himalayas! Get on your bikes and experience the wonders of Uttarakhand like never before! To add to the exhilaration, rappel down cliff sides, raft in the white waters of the Ganga and take in the sights surrounding you. Become an outdoor expert by camping in the wilderness; discover Uttarakhand by trekking, cycling and white water rafting!

Day 1

Meet Trailblazers team at Dehradun. Welcome, quick orientation and drive to the campsite (Approximately 40 Km). Arrive, check in and freshen up. Orientation, ice breakers, dinner and lights out.

Day 2

Wake up and participate in a warm-up and stretching session. Breakfast, a session on basics of mountain bike skills including safety briefings followed by moderately uphill cycling expedition from Bairagarh to Village Naudkhal (Approximately 17 km). Camp at Naudkhal, lunch, local village visit, short trek and return to the camp. Bonfire, dinner and retire for the day.

Day 3

Meditation followed by warm up and exercises. Breakfast and begin the second leg of the cycling expedition. Cycle from village Naudkhal till village Gainkhal (Approximately 8 km). Lunch and cycle back downhill to Bairagarh.  Experience an overnight tent stay by the tributary. Get ready for some exciting team challenges gather firewood, cook your own food with minimum resources and savor the delicious food prepared. Bonfire, camp songs and team games. Unplug, slow down and spend quality time with fellow campers. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Wake up, do bird watching followed by breakfast. Get ready to switch gears from cycling to adventure sports. Challenge yourself through an exciting Rappelling activity. Pack your bags and get ready to trek through some beautiful landscapes. Lunch. Team activities like river crossing depending on the water level. See the countryside lifestyle through a walk around the local villages. Evening group activities, dinner and lights out.  

Day 5

Breakfast, check out and prepare to undertake the final challenge of our programme. Enjoy the thrill of whitewater rafting in the beautiful Ganga river (Approximately 9 Km). Freshen up, lunch. Team activities and enjoy reflecting upon the last 5 days. Talent night. Dinner and lights out.

Day 6

Wake up, breakfast and check out. Its time to pack your bags and bid adieu to the Himalayas. Drive to Dehradun and say goodbye to your newly made friends.

Cost per participant: INR 32,450 + 5% GST

Early bird discount of INR 1000 if registered on or before 15th April 2018.


Cost includes:

  • 5 days/4 nights stay in luxurious outdoor tents with ensuite facilities and outdoor camping with dry pit toilets. 1 night stay in Rishikesh/Haridwar hotel
  • All meals, bottled water during journeys, RO filter water at the campsites, fresh fruit/flower juices, Day 1 Dinner to breakfast on day 6
  • Separate mobile toilets (dry pit style for males and females during outdoor camping)
  • All adventure activities, equipment, safety gear, water activities, rafting with trained professionals
  • Comfortable tempo traveller/Bus for transfers from Dehradun airport and back (Non-ac. AC does not function in the hills).

  • Personal expenses
  • Travel to Dehradun and back
  • Meals during transfers at the airport or any extra meals

What to Pack

  • Comfortable trousers for general activities(2)
  • T-Shirts(5)
  • One warm jacket
  • Winter jacket/ sweater
  • Undergarments (4) + Night wear
  • Binoculars (optional)
  • Rainwear
  • All purpose shoes for trekking and activities -1 pair
  • Waterproof Sandals with straps 1 pair (No Flip flops please)
  • Wash-kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc)
  • Bath towel (easy to dry)
  • Plastic bags for soiled, wet clothes
  • Sunglasses + Waterproof sunscreen (SPF 25+) and lip balm  
  • Moisturizing cream/body cream/mosquito or insect repellent
  • Water bottle (1 litre capacity)
  • Participants wearing lenses / spectacles to get an extra pair for safety.
  • Flashlight(torch) with extra batteries
  • Personal log book, pen/ pencil and ID card
