About The Canterbury Half Marathon

A popular part of the Kent sporting calendar, the Canterbury Half Marathon returns again in 2018. Organised to support Pilgrims Hospices by Nice Work, the race attracts a large Bank Holiday Monday entry to confirm its position as one of Kent's favourite half marathons.
The course is challenging and covers the quiet country lanes on the outskirts of the city.
Bespoke medal plus range of finish line goodies available to all finishers. Also includes well stocked aid stations along the route.
Our thanks, as always, to the Canterbury Forset of Blean Rotary Club for their invaluable help in staging this race.
Also includes a 2 mile fun run and children's race.

The Canterbury Half Marathon course is a lollipop shape route covering the roads on the outskirts of the City. The course has been officially measured and carries a certificate of course accuracy. The route will be clearly marked using large route arrows and directional cones, as well as being marshalled throughout. Due to sections of the route being open to traffic headphones are not permitted to be worn during the race and if you are seen wearing headphones you risk disqualifaction.

You can view a copy of the route map here.

First Aid
St John Ambulance will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
