About TCS New York City Marathon Training Series 12M

Gearing up for the largest marathon in the world? Join us for the new TCS New York City Marathon Training Series, a three-race series to prepare you for 26.2 on November 4. The series is designed to support your training plan and kicks off with this 12-miler in July. Get excited for your five-borough run with an amazing pair of socks as your race premium. Finishers will also receive 9+1 credit for the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon.

Live Results

Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org and in the NYRR app. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and get unofficial results right after the race!

Course Info

Miles 1, 7: Start on East Drive near 102nd Street and head north around the northern end of the park and the challenging Harlem Hills.
Miles 2, 8: Continue south on West Drive through a series of rolling hills, with the Reservoir on your left.
Miles 3, 9: Continue through a downhill and flat mile with a slight uphill as you approach the TCS New York City Marathon finish line (but from the opposite direction to the one that the marathoners approach it from).
Miles 4, 10: Continue south (and downhill) around the southern end of park; continue onto East Drive.
Miles 5, 11: Pass the 72nd Street Transverse and the Central Park Boathouse, and then ascend Cat Hill (74th Street to 78th Street) and continue to the Fred Lebow statue at Engineers' Gate (90th Street).
Miles 6, 12: Continue along a flat section, followed by a slight downhill, then another flat section as you approach the 102nd Street Transverse. On your third and final loop, turn left onto the Transverse and run to the finish.

Number Pickup & Registration

Numbers (which include your timing tag) and souvenirs may be picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street (between Eighth and Ninth avenues) on the following dates:

  • Saturday, July 14, 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 15, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
  • Monday, July 16, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 17, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 18, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 19, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, July 20, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.

Show the QR code from your race confirmation email or your My NYRR account to pick up your race materials. Please pick up during the week to avoid crowds on race day. Race-day lines may impact your ability to get to the start on time. Souvenirs are subject to availability; please note that souvenirs may not be available at race-day pickup.

On race day, pickup will be at Race-Day Central, located at the Ballfield 8 backstop in Central Park (near the 102nd Street Cross Drive), from 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. Please be sure to allow yourself enough time to get from Race-Day Central to the start.

If you're unable to pick up your race materials, a friend or family member can pick up for you; the person will need your QR code (printed or digitally). This policy is in effect only for our weekly races, and not for the TCS New York City Marathon.

Bag check, also located on the 102nd Street Cross Drive, will be open from 5:30 to 10:30 a.m.
